No nasty surprises
The small scratch on the off side wing was not 'polished out" as promised although it was booked in on the "Job Sheet". The Service, also on the "Job Sheet" was completed. The car was dropped off at 8am and not ready for collection until 5:15pm
Tyres in winter storage had not been checked before storage nor when they were received back at the branch. Only when they had been fitted was it noticed the tread depth was below legal minimum. A new tyre was ordered & the car returned 2 days later.
Servicing very satisfactory, but I did notice that when car was cleaned one of my rear passenger mats has been substituted for the original one. Not very pleased as the replacement is not the same quality and does not match the other mat.
As per the above! To add to further insult, I was told that I could quicken the fix and take my car home by accepting a used caliper spring from another used vehicle! I was dumbfounded! Is that normal procedure? Secondhand part from another vehicle?!
Obtained part and fitted following day from original visit

I've generally been pleased with the service, though there have been one or two lacks in communication and I wasn't best pleased with an attempt to charge me a ridiculous amount for adjusting a wiper blade.
At no time did the guy at the service desk apologies for my inconvenience or offer a satisfactory explanation
Everything was handled efficiently and effectively.
Everything was explained when i went in for the Full service. Booking was straightforward and convenient. I waited 2 hours and car was sorted. In that time I was able to look at new deals on new BMWs.
I have been critical of Dick Lovett before for putting more emphasis on trying to sell me something when I have my car serviced, than actually taking an interest in my experience as an owner of the vehicle. That was not the case on this occasion.
The attention to details regarding what was going to happen to my car was exceptional with the introduction of the app to my phone and pc with the step by step procedure was a great addition.
Still waiting for a cost breakdown for work required following warranty work 3 weeks ago. Also requested specific items to be looked and they were completely missed.

The customer service I received from Haley Smith was fantastic, she was exceptionally polite and knowledgable even when it was clear that I did not want to purchase additional services at main dealer rates.
Long wait to collect car
Didnt feel like a valued customer, felt rushed when I was paying - I wanted to ask questions about the condition my car was in but felt like the advisor didnt really care and wanted me to leave as soon as possible.
We were told very quickly of a problem with the car and how long it would take to fix - the solution was provided as detailed.

My one reservation, this time, was the price quoted for the work on the phone was significantly different from the price I was charged in the showroom. It seems that the phone quote didn't include VAT, so the price was well over £100 higher!

Work done on car was good. The member of the customer service team I dealt was poor and did not keep me in touch with progress. I would not have got my car back on the day if I had not been proactive. Have discussed this with the Service Manager.

I got the car back and it wasn't ready to be on the road. Now, one month later (I haven't really used it), a service is due, meaning I have to take the car a third time in 2.5 months since I bought it.
Requested the use of a courtesy vehicle when booking my service 4 weeks in advance, but no vehicle was available on the day of the service.
I liked receiving the health check video, very innovative and I liked the way the staff handled everything.

Quite often a disinterested member of staff at many outlets these days appears to be unhelpful and even rude. Quite the opposite at Dick Lovett BMW Swindon. All staff encountered without exception were pleasant, interested and helpful. Always.

I had a Vehicle Health check on my car which showed N/S/R side light not working, new outer light cluster needed. Friend said probably just corrosion on bulb/fitting, give it a clean. I did, works fine, dread to think how much would have been charged
Message left on phone regarding needing tyres replacing was faint and hard to hear due to background noise. I called back but caller was unavailable. Did not explain the problem to me at all when i collected car.
Check was carried out and completed as agreed, car cleaned ready for our collection.

I was well looked after and treated like a valued customer.
In the process of working on my car they changed many of my preferred control settings and did not return them afterwards. Consequently I was driving around after dark without lights as the auto function, which I always have switched on, was off.
They fixed a rattle in the door of my car and charged me nothing for this service. It has not rattled since. And they washed my car, also for nothing. I also received a safety check video, all available online. Makes a really good impression TBH

Lovetts make every customer feel special
I called to report several faults with my vehicle, they were unable to provide a courtesy vehicle or offer a collection and delivery service for nearly 3 weeks. Due to this I had to use a Mercedes curtesy vehicle, ironic really.
We unfortunately have had several AUC issues, a broken light cluster, steering judder, a leak on the rear Diff, a faulty tracker unit, and the iDrive continually rebooting!! BMW Swindon have been excellent diagnosing and repairing all issues.
I do not believe the service team are at fault but they could listen to me and champion the customer and push BMW for a fix, not just accept try this and see.

Had a stuck locking wheel bolt and BMW managed to sort it within an hour of me phoning up as had a tight schedule that day.
Was no able to get the required replacement part the next day
My vehicle had a computer failure. When it was returned I found the same problem immediately occurred which raises questions of testing to clarify problem solved. Very satisfied with way service desk handled situation.
Had to push to garage to find a replacement part in the supply chain. The garage originally suggested bringing the car back "in a few weeks", rather than search for the appropriate component, this not acceptable.
Dealt with different service personnel and didn't feel the bill was explained properly.
Was very satisfied with the service provided. Slight niggle in that the maintenance computer on the car was not reset so despite having all work done I still get a graphic of a car lift popping up every time I start up.

Driving to the BMW Service in Swindon a yellow lamp showed the washer was low. I reported it at the service desk. The following day (28th Feb) I had to go to London. On the M4 the washer iced up. Diluted fluid caused it.3 service stops on the M4! !
somewhat dissatisfied with AUC checklist, As I bought a car with many many issues. Granted they were fixed or shall I say being fixed still but with many complications along the way. The sales guy is ignorant and doesnt reply to emails after sale
1st service and my issue is with the recording of this service. I was expecting on a 3 Series M Sport model that in the vehicle info screen there would be record of date and mileage at service but there isn't. Only miles until next oil change shown

Very good, car didnt smell like it had been infor service (nasty grease shop smell) one small minor thing is when they clean a car what I dont expect is the windows to be all smeared, I drove off and it was very apparent.

Service was very good but I was disappointed with £1000 excess for loan car insurance unless I paid a fee when my car was in for warranty work.
When car was collected it was from wrong address, even though I had changed the address with the operator, no big deal but an unnecessary error.
Got my issue sort so I could get my car back.
Staff very polite and courteous. Facilities whilst you wait are very good and broadband available so I can work while I am waiting. Hot Drinks also free too.
- Didnt feel the service agent was very helpful towards me when I got the shock of my service package not being valid.- Power points not working on the work area- forgot to provide my MOT certificate in documents

All the periphery is there, nice reception, good welcome etc. However, you continue with the bad practices of old - I am not in your premises as an open wallet for you to look to create more opportunities to say "oh, and you need this extra..."
Whilst the quality of the work was fine and the condition my car was returned in was superb, the experience I mention above was far from ideal.
